Introduction of an Accommodation Tax in Hokkaido and Shintoku Town
(April 2026–)

Effective Wednesday, April 1, 2026, an accommodation tax will be introduced for stays in Tomura, Hokkaido, and Shintoku Town.
This tax will be used to fund initiatives supporting tourism recovery, contributing to the development of local communities and the Hokkaido economy.

【Effective Date】
　Wednesday, April 1, 2026 and later stays

【Taxable Persons】
　All guests staying at the hotel (including children)

【Total Tax Amount】
　Varies based on the accommodation fee. (Taxed according to the per-person, per-night accommodation fee)
　¥4,999 or less: ¥150 (Hokkaido: ¥100 + Shintoku Town: ¥50)
　¥5,000 to ¥19,999: ¥200 (Hokkaido ¥100 + Shintoku Town ¥100)
　¥20,000 to ¥49,999: ¥400 (Hokkaido ¥200 + Shintoku Town ¥200)
